Delivering qualifications that will help your business by meeting the requirements of current Food Safety legislation and good practice.
Level 1 awards are aimed at those new to the workplace who require a simple overview of a subject, before starting work or as part of an induction programme. For example, school leavers taking their first job or candidates with special needs.
Level 2 awards are aimed at those in the workplace who participate in activities related to the subject area (equating to the present foundation or ‘basic’ qualification). Examples are shop floor employees, front line staff employees in production or services.
The law states that "food businesses must make sure any member of your staff who handles food is supervised and instructed and/or trained in food hygiene in a way that is appropriate for the work they do". It is recommended as good practice to re-train staff every three years, to keep up with changes in legislation.Download FSA Hygiene Business Guide
